Sundays club meeting was all about repotting. Members that braved the horrible wet weather brought a few trees along. Set on task, muddy fingers, root hooks and a brew.
It wasn’t all repotting though, Alan Dorling shared his story of the Yew dead wood he’d collected the previous weekend.
This has to be the most stunning piece of collect Yew I have ever seen. The age and weathering is out standing… Fishing net and a loop of wire attached, he reached and grabbed for it over a 30ft cliff ledge. just feet away, the weight of this lump bent the hook and it dropped the 30ft to the ground. Fearing the worst, clambered down to find minimal damage and a beautiful piece. Here are so close ups for your viewing pleasure!!!
